Winnie May James Swearingen, 78, of Lewiston, died at her home on Jan 30, 2010 at Juniper Meadows in Lewiston Idaho   She was born on October 30, 1931 in Little Rock, WA.  She married James M. Swearingen on March 15, 1950 in Orofino, Idaho.   Her husband James died in 1990.  She went back to school in 1998 to get her GED and  Drivers License.  She loved to crocheted dish clothes for family and friends.   She loved fishing, and picking huckleberries.  Winnie spent  many summers in the woods with her children and husband. 

Winnie is survived by two sons, Patrick (Roxanne) Swearingen of Juliaetta,  Idaho,  Matt (Sandra ) Swearingen of Sheridan, Oregon  three daughters Nancy (Dennis) Nordin of Lewiston Idaho, Nanetta (Walt) Ersland Puyallup WA. Merle (AL) Gertch of Bonney Lake WA. and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in Death by three sons and two daughters.

A viewing will be held at Shorts Funeral Chapel on Monday, Feb 1, 2010 at 3:00 pm till 7:00 pm

A Grave Side service will be held on Tuesday Feb. 2, 2010 at 1:00 pm at the Three Pines Cemetery in Elk River.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Short’s Funeral Chapel Moscow. Online condolences may be left at www.shortsfuneralchapel.net
