Arthur F. Jensen of Moscow died Saturday, February 20, 2010 at Good Samaritan Village. He was 100.
Art was born June 11, 1909 at Kansas City, Missouri to Nahne F. and Wilamina Jensen.
He and Regina D. "Ray" Bucholz were married in Long Beach, CA on Sept. 2, 1951.
Art began his career with National Cash Register Company at the age of 19 as a serviceman, repairing cash registers. He showed promise in sales and the couple lived in Van Nuys, CA, Eugene, OR, Stockton, CA and Fresno before moving to Boise where he retired as regional manager for the company after 43 years. They lived in Boise for several years before moving to Moscow to be near their daughter in 1997.
Art was truly one of the last "gentlemen", his kindness and overwhelming ear to listen will be missed.
He is survived by his daughter, Lynn Cantrell of Moscow, two grandsons, Aron (Carrie) Cantrell and Ike Cantrell.
Mrs. Jensen died in December of 2000.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday at Emmanuel Lutheran Church with Rev. Dean Stewart officiating. A reception and time of fellowship will follow at the church fellowship hall. A private committal service will be at the Moscow Cemetery.
