Mary Margaret Radel, of Moscow Idaho, returned to her Father in Heaven on March 6, 2010 with her loving family at her side at the age of 55.
Mary was born in Glendale California on December 3, 1954 to Richard and Nancy Bennett. She was the oldest of their five children. She spent her later childhood years with her paternal grandmother Margaret Bennett.
Mary married Adolf "Audie" Radel on December 8, 1972 in North Hollywood, California. On August 13, 1977 they were sealed for time and all eternity in the Cardston Alberta LDS temple.
Throughout her life Mary lived in Southern CA, Leavenworth WA and various locations in Idaho ending in Moscow.
Mary enjoyed reading to further her knowledge. She also enjoyed spending time with her "greatest treasures" her close friends and family. She was known to "adopt" those she became close to, as family. She was also actively involved with helping people who have special needs.
Mary was survived by her husband of 37 years Audie of Moscow, ID; daughter Katharina "Katy" Butler and her husband Del of Ely, NV; son Adam and his wife Kristina of Moscow, ID; son Erik of Moscow, ID ; daughter Allison of Moscow, ID. She was also survived by "Mam’s Little People", Loren, Alexandra, Spencer and Kelsie Butler of Ely NV; Austin, Parker and Kai Radel of Moscow ID. Mother Nancy Bennett of Wenatchee, WA; step-mother Ursula Bennett of Leavenworth, WA; brother Michael Bennett of Cashmere, WA; sister Peggy White of East Wenatchee; sister Bonnie Foust of Cashmere, WA; step-sister Lorna Flores of Leavenworth, WA and numerous treasured friends.
Mary was preceded in death by her father Richard "Dick" Bennett Sr; brother Richard "Rick" Bennett Jr; nephew Alexander Foust and many loved family members.
Services will be held Thursday March 11, 2010 at 10:30 am at the LDS Stake Center on Blaine St. in Moscow Idaho. There will be a viewing on Wednesday March 10, 2010 at Short’s Funeral Chapel from 12:00 to 8:00 pm. Burial will be held on Friday March 12, 2010 in Leavenworth, WA at the Mountain View Cemetery at 1:00 pm.
